- Bright Horizons Baldwin Park - Orlando, FL - Harkins Development Corporation was chosen by Bright Horizons Family Solutions, the Nation’s largest day care provider to perform Construction management services of another Central Florida locations. These services include assisting Bright Horizons and their design team in redesigning their buildings to meet the needs of a very tight budget. HDC is currently constructing a 14,000 SF facility with a pool, site work and playground.
- Ft. Benning, Ga - Armor Officer Basic Course (AOBC) Battalion Headquarters and Covered Hardstand. Design Build project consists of a 12,000 SF 2 story building with a 7,000 SF stand alone covered hardstand. Includes the installation of intrusion detection system (IDS), connection of EMCS, antiterrorism measures and building information systems. Sustainable Design and Development (SDD) to meet LEED Silver requirements.
- Macdill AFB, Tampa, FL - Harkins Development Corporation was awarded this project by the US Army Corp of Engineers, Mobile District. This is a design/build project for a Child Development Center that is currently in progress and is scheduled for completion on April 28, 2011 and will be LEED certified Silver. The project includes design and construction of two buildings one-story Child Development Centers. The project includes construction of an 18,310 SF building and a 22,042 SF building. The Child Development Centers consist of reinforced concrete foundations and floor slabs, masonry walls, stucco exteriors, standing seam metal roofs, fire detection/suppression systems, HVAC, AT/FP measures and completed site development.
- Hurlburt Field, Fl – Harkins Development Corporation was awarded this project by the US Army Corp of Engineers, Mobile District. This is a design/build project that is currently in progress and is scheduled for completion on May 14, 2011 and will be LEED Certified Silver. The project includes design and construction of
a single story 22,317 SF concrete block Child Development Center at Hurlburt Field, FL. Project consists of concrete block with split faced brick and stucco with clerestory roof incorporating a sloping seam metal roof system. Project also includes full site development of a 7 acre site, paving and outdoor play equipment.
- West Oaks Academy –Design-Build project by the West Oaks Academy for an addition to their existing campus in Orlando, Florida. Plans call for a 22,000 SF Gymnasium inclusive of 10,000 SF mezzanine for new classrooms. This project also calls for Harkins to perform site analysis and enlarging the retention pond and raise the overflow basin and perform underground piping to tie into existing utilities.
