ResponsibilitiesMr. Harkins has been part of the Central Florida building industry since 1974. Prior to entering the building industry, Harkins supervised hotel construction and worked 3 years as a designer of concrete and steel buildings for architectural and engineering firms. Under his guidance, Harkins Development Corporation has built numerous commercial and industrial buildings and more than 200 luxury custom residences throughout Central Florida. A civic and industry leader, Mr. Harkins has built Harkins Development Corp. into a full-service real estate development firm offering commercial, industrial and residential construction services, land acquisition services, contracting, leasing and property management to businesses and individuals across Central Florida. ResponsibilitiesAs President, Matt focuses on expanding the firm’s existing “service beyond expectations” reputation while managing corporate staff and growth. People skills is a key component of the ongoing success for any corporate president, and upon meeting for the first time everyone realizes Matt is very adept at gaining their confidence in his ability to perform as expected and promised. He is extremely skilled at problem solving and mitigating issues before they become problems. Matt assumed the corporate presidency from his father during the Summer of 2006 following extensive time managing projects in the field for the firm. Matt’s time in the field established his personal skills at communicating and interacting directly with clients along with gaining a first hand understanding of their needs and concerns. He strongly believes in the need for scheduled, accurate and prompt interaction and communication with not only clients but corporate staff and our banking partners. Matt is insistent on maintaining the client as part of the construction team, this creating ever increasing layers of their confidence. The end result has been on going and repeat clients which has proven to be the backbone of corporate success. These efforts have kept Harkins Development Corporation a vibrant and successful construction firm.
ResponsibilitiesMr. Vinacke is responsible for coordinating and overseeing all construction undertaken by the company, both in the commercial and residential divisions. His building experience affords clients the benefit of a seasoned professional in command of their construction project. From pre-construction to the commissioning of each building, Mr. Vinacke's oversight includes all aspects of the design and construction process such as value engineering, constructability reviews, estimating, bidding, purchasing, scheduling, vendor coordination, project management and turnover to the owner.
ResponsibilitiesMr. Cafaro is responsible for coordinating and overseeing all preconstruction, design and construction duties for Federal Government Projects. Mr. Cafaro is one of Harkins most experienced, well respected Senior Staff Members and builds the trust with our clients to ensure that the job will done right. Prior to joining our staff, he aced in a management role within several government contractor organizations. His 35+ years of experience have given him the opportunity to serve on several diverse and complex projects. His military experience includes projects located at Ft. Bliss, Tx, Fort Jackson, SC, Hunter AAF, Ga, Fort Steward, Ga, Ft. Benning, Ga, Naval and U.S. Air Force facilities on the island of Guam and other Pacific Rim islands, and others.
ResponsibilitiesLee come to HDC with a wide range of construction, overall business skills, and wealth of knowledge in the industry. Lee has proven track record for purchasing the best products/services for the best possible prices and he understands that the bottom line must coincide with quality product. He is responsible for all budgeting, estimating and, purchasing for HDC. With over 40 years of experience Clients can rest assured that they have the best possible person in charge of negotiating the very best product for the best possible price EVERY time.
ResponsibilitiesFred joined Harkins Development Corporation in 2004 following a seven year career in staffing sales and sales recruiting. His proven track record of exceeding client expectations combined with his Masters Degree in Corporate Communications and Technology serve him well in effectively working within the complex business world of commercial real estate. Fred also has a Masters Degree in Public Administration and and undergraduate degree in Political Science. Fred takes particular pride in individualizing service to clients, and endeavors to make their business experience with our firm highly satisfactory. Most recently, Fred has been instrumental in HDC’s pursuit of Federal Government contracts since 2009. Fred’s role in this new endeavor for HDC led to the award of two Child Development Centers values at approximately 17 million dollars as well as HDC’s award of two 499 million dollar MATOCS with the US Army Corp of Engineers. Fred’s well rounded experience includes the sales of $ 24,000,000.00 of commercial mixed use products, government relations, permit expediently, as well as Project Supervision. His efforts are focused on clients, with his main responsibility being support in both their financial and business arenas. Fred’s additional responsibilities include meeting with local municipalities to expedite permitting and zoning issues that arise on projects along with liaison between our office and architects, engineers and designers to ensure client milestones are met to keep projects on schedule. A Florida licensed real estate agent, Fred’s license is with Harkins Commercial, Inc. and Fred assists with land acquisitions, sales and leasing. Commercial References

After 16 years, Maria now works full time as Office Manager, handling the day to day routine responsibilities around the office; Leasing Agent, handing day to day activities such as writing and maintaining checking accounts, collecting rent and keeping up with phone calls associated with numerous office complexes owned by Mr. Harkins; and Personal Secretary to Bill Harkins. |
